Description
The Alpinestars Supertech M10 Helmet represents the pinnacle of motocross protection, engineered to offer a smooth, aerodynamic profile that is streamlined and free of external channels that could act as load points during an impact. The surface curvature is specifically designed to promote reduced friction upon impact, allowing for efficient energy deflection and transfer to protect the rider from direct force.
At the core of the S-M10 is a highly advanced multi-composite shell construction utilizing specialized molding technology. This three-layer system includes:
- 3K Carbon: A high-density outer layer that improves the efficiency of energy dissipation across the shell.
- Uni-directional Carbon Composite: Provides significantly greater radial strength, preventing compression while allowing controlled deflection.
- Aramid Fiber: Delivers critical penetration protection.
This shell is bonded with a high-performance epoxy resin to ensure maximum strength and energy management. Underneath, a four-density EPS liner absorbs impact energy, while the integrated MIPS® (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) reduces rotational motion transferred to the brain. The shell sizing solution ensures an anatomical fit, optimizing comfort and reducing overall weight across the range.
For superior climate control, this ultra-ventilated helmet features 28 individual intake and exhaust ports—18 intakes and 10 exhausts—to maximize airflow. The interior is further enhanced by the A-Head Fitment System, which allows riders to easily adjust the angle and height of how the helmet sits on the head.
Safety is prioritized through specialized design features, including a sculpted chin bar profile with a softer EPS section raised to clear the collarbone, reducing the risk of injury. Advanced emergency features include the Emergency Release System (ERS), an Emergency Visor Release system, and the Eject helmet removal system. Additionally, the helmet features a visor extension for protection from roost and sun, along with removable side pads made from semi-soft polymer to help spread impact energy effectively.
