Description
The Supertech M10's design offers a smooth, attractive, aerodynamic profile that is streamlined and free of any external channels or features that might act as a load point in an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet's construction. The surface curvature promotes reduced friction on impact, allowing for the deflection and transfer of energy to protect the rider's head from direct force and referred stress to the neck and spinal column.
Engineered for a precision fit, the S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures each helmet size has its own appropriate shell size to deliver the most anatomical solution for a wide variety of needs. This ensures riders have the correct fit to improve comfort, reduce overall weight, and maximize the effectiveness of the helmet in an impact. The helmet is equipped with the MIPS® Multi-directional Impact Protection System and the A-Head Fitment System, which allows for easy adjustment of the angle and height at which the helmet sits on the head.
Safety and ventilation are at the forefront of this design. Key technical specifications and features include:
- Collarbone Protection: The chin bar's base area is specifically sculpted to provide a relief section, raised to clear the collarbone. A soft EPS liner extends beyond the helmet shell and is covered by a flexible rubber compound to reduce the chance of injury.
- Advanced Ventilation: An ultra-ventilated system featuring 28 individual intake and exhaust ports (18 intakes and 10 exhausts), excluding the eye port, to ensure maximum airflow.
- Emergency Systems: Includes Eject technology for the eject helmet removal system, the Emergency Release System (ERS), and an Emergency Visor Release with Visor Extension.
- Impact Management: Removable side pads made from a semi-soft polymer provide an increased contact area to help spread impact energy and improve performance during rotational acceleration and oblique impacts.
