Engineered for young riders, this helmet features a thermo-injected shell with a special polymer blend and varying thicknesses for an optimal combination of impact protection and light weight. The lightweight outer shell is constructed from technologically advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic. Fit can be tailored with crown and cheek pads, available separately in different thicknesses. A multiple-density inner liner provides the correct density in each area for enhanced impact absorption while helping reduce overall weight. Inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts, while a low-friction coating on the main EPS liner helps reduce rotational acceleration forces from certain oblique impacts by acting as a slip plane that mimics the brain’s natural low-friction cerebrospinal fluid defense. Ten air inlets and seven exhaust ports maximize ventilation and heat transfer, with the visor designed to direct airflow into the ports. The visor release system releases at a predetermined force to help reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. The comfort liner is made using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint. Integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads provide added convenience and performance. A soft 25 mm textile chin strap delivers safety and comfort, while the Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads allow safe, easy cheek-pad removal while the helmet remains fitted. Three-dimensional contoured foam enhances comfort, and stainless steel D-rings provide a tight, secure fit.
