Corsair-X Helmet - Doohan Restyle

The Arai Corsair-X represents the pinnacle of helmet engineering, combining advanced shell technology with superior ventilation and safety features. Designed with an intermediate oval shape, it provides a comfortable and secure fit for the majority of riders in the North American market.

The heart of its protection lies in the PB-SNC2 Shell. Utilizing proprietary Z Resin developed in-house, the shell bonds multiple layers and materials more securely with less resin, significantly improving strength while reducing weight. The integration of Super Fiber and special synthetic reinforcing fibers results in an exceptionally strong yet light shell with excellent "Glancing Off" properties. This is further bolstered by an internal structural net and Peripheral Belt that strengthens the shell with minimal increase to thickness.

The Corsair-X features a sophisticated Internal Air Channel system. This enhanced ventilation setup pulls hot and moist air from the eye port area through ducted channels behind the cheek pads, exhausting it through side cowl vents to keep the rider cool and reduce shield fogging. The IC Duct5 uses a three-position slide gate to improve sealing, effectively reducing wind noise and water intrusion. All vents are intentionally mounted to remain frangible, ensuring they easily detach during an impact to prevent snagging or excessive rotational force.

For superior visibility and ease of use, the helmet utilizes the Variable Axis System (VAS) Shield Mechanism. This double pivot point design allows the shield to open and close smoothly even with a lower mount position. Key features include:

• VAS Shield Latch: Captures and securely holds the shield closed to resist unexpected opening.
• Intuitive Operation: A large latch allows for seamless shield adjustments even while wearing heavy gloves.
• Dual-Function Lever: Releases both the side pod and shield pin for quick, simple removal.
• Positive Stop: The shield features a positive stop to resist unintentional opening in the de-mist position, yet lifts with ease when pulled.
