The Corsair-X continues the long-standing tradition of Arai's commitment to rider protection and innovation. Engineered for peak performance, this helmet features the advanced PB-SNC² shell, created from a combination of super fiber and synthetic fibers to provide exceptional tensile strength and flexibility while maintaining a lightweight profile.
One of the standout features is the VAS (Variable Axis System) Shield Mechanism. This system utilizes a moving pivot point and a variable axis trajectory, allowing the shield to open and close smoothly even with a lower mount position. The integrated VAS latch securely holds the shield closed to prevent unexpected opening and includes a de-mist function for intuitive operation. For ease of maintenance, a dual-function lever allows for quick and simple shield and side cover removal.
Safety is prioritized through Arai's "Glance-Off" ability. By incorporating a smaller and lower VAS pivot cover and a smooth shell along the Snell test line in the temple area, the helmet is designed to better glance off objects during an impact. Technical specifications include:
