At the core of its design is the Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell, which utilizes multiple materials and advanced techniques to deliver high-performance safety and durability. The innovative Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the shield pivot point by an average of 24mm, resulting in a smoother shell surface in the critical temple area to better reduce impact energy. The VAS latch captures and holds the shield securely closed to prevent unexpected opening, while also offering a de-mist function and intuitive operation.

Ventilation and climate control are prioritized through the QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts. These provide exceptional airflow performance even when the front shutter is closed, as side vents continue to serve as exhaust ports. Inside, the FCS® Cheek Pads feature a contoured shape with varying foam densities and a foam "spring" that cradles the face to block wind noise and enhance comfort. The odor-resistant liner material keeps the interior fresh for longer by resisting bacteria build-up.
