ALPINESTARS SM7 Helmet - Cast

Engineered for off-road racing, this lightweight full-face helmet combines a supremely aerodynamic composite shell with superior ventilation, comfort, and impact protection. The multi-layer shell is constructed from a blend of fiberglass, carbon, and aramid fiber for optimized impact protection, force dissipation, sliding performance, energy absorption, stability, and durability. A-Head Fitment and the Visor Detaching System enhance protection, while integrated PLASMA technology at the lower side of the shell edge helps dissipate energy in the event of contact with the collar bone area.

Key Features
Aerodynamic profile design provides a smooth, streamlined shell free of external channels or features that could act as load points during an impact. The shell curvature promotes reduced friction on impact, allowing deflection and efficient energy transfer to help protect the rider’s head, neck, and spinal column. Ultra-ventilated design features 20 individual intake and exhaust ports, including 13 intake and 7 exhaust ports, excluding the eye port. Fit can be customized with replacement cheek pads, available in all thicknesses and interchangeable across shell sizes.

Communication system compatible, with a left-side EPS cutaway and earphone recesses on both sides for speakers. Linings are removable and hand washable using warm water and neutral soap, while fabrics feature antimicrobial treatments. The elastically connected crown and neck pads support oblique impact management. The removable top pad is height adjustable through the A-Head system. 3D foam cheek pads include an emergency extraction system (ERS), a hydration tube channel, and interchangeable fit across all sizes. The 25 mm nylon chin strap features stainless steel DD rings and removable washable covers. Integrated channels on both sides accommodate a hydration system.

Protection
The Visor Detaching System is designed to avoid weaknesses found in traditional anchoring systems. The visor automatically detaches from the shell when subjected to impact energy greater than 15 Joules, regardless of direction, for optimized impact protection. Alpinestars PLASMA technology is strategically integrated into the side pads for high-performance shock absorption in a critical area, significantly reducing the risk of injury.
