ALPINESTARS SM7 Helmet - Core

Engineered for off-road racing, this lightweight full-face helmet delivers an advanced blend of impact protection, ventilation, comfort, and durability. The multi-layer shell is constructed from fiberglass, carbon, and aramid fiber to optimize force dissipation, sliding performance, energy absorption, stability, and strength. Its supremely aerodynamic composite shell features a smooth, streamlined profile without external channels or features that may create load points during impact. The shell curvature promotes reduced friction, allowing deflection and efficient energy transfer to help protect against direct forces transmitted to the head, neck, and spinal column.

Key Features
Ultra-ventilated design with 20 individual intake and exhaust ports, including 13 intakes and 7 exhausts, for optimum airflow. The A-Head system allows the top pad to be removed and adjusted in height, while replacement cheek pads are available in multiple thicknesses and are interchangeable across all shell sizes for a customized fit. Communication system compatible, with a left-side EPS cutaway and earphone recesses on both sides for intercom speakers.

Construction
Removable, hand-washable linings with antimicrobial-treated fabrics. The crown pad and neck pad are elastically connected to improve oblique impact management. 3D foam cheek pads include an emergency extraction system (ERS) and a channel for hydration tube installation. Interchangeable cheek pads accommodate all shell sizes. The 25 mm nylon chin strap features stainless steel DD rings, removable washable covers, and integrated channels on both sides for a hydration system.

Protection
The Visor Detaching System uses a release mechanism designed to avoid weaknesses found in conventional anchoring systems. The visor is engineered to automatically detach from the shell when subjected to impact energy greater than 15 Joules, regardless of impact direction, for enhanced protection. Alpinestars PLASMA technology is strategically integrated into the lower side pads and shell edge for high-performance shock absorption, helping dissipate energy in the collarbone area and significantly reduce the risk of injury.
