Engineered for off-road racing, the SM7 helmet delivers an ideal balance of lightweight comfort, superior ventilation, aerodynamic performance, and exceptional impact protection. The multi-layer shell is constructed from a blend of fiberglass, carbon, and aramid fiber for optimized impact protection and force dissipation, sliding performance, energy absorption, stability, and durability. The supremely aerodynamic composite shell and A-Head Fitment system provide a secure, customizable fit, while PLASMA technology at the lower shell edge helps dissipate energy in the event of contact with the collarbone area.

- Ultra-ventilated design includes 20 individual intake and exhaust ports, excluding the eye port, with 13 intakes and 7 exhausts for optimized airflow.
- Fit can be customized with Alpinestars replacement cheek pads, available in all thicknesses and interchangeable between shell sizes.
- Communication system compatible, with a left-side EPS cutaway and earphone recesses on both sides for intercom speakers.
Construction
- Removable, hand-washable linings; fabrics feature antimicrobial treatments.
- Crown and neck pads are elastically connected for improved oblique impact management.
- Removable, height-adjustable top pad with the A-Head system.
- 3D foam cheek pads include an emergency extraction system (ERS) and a channel for hydration tube installation; cheek pads are interchangeable among all sizes.
- 25 mm nylon chin strap with stainless steel DD rings and removable washable covers.
- Integrated channels on both sides accommodate a hydration system.
Protection
- Visor Detaching System uses a release mechanism designed to avoid inherent weaknesses in other anchoring systems.
- Visor is engineered to automatically detach from the shell when subjected to impact energy greater than 15 Joules, regardless of direction, for optimized impact protection.
- Alpinestars PLASMA technology is strategically integrated into the side pads for high-performance shock absorption in a critical area, significantly reducing the risk of injuries.
