Description
Supertech R10 Helmet - 22.06
Outer Shell: Utilizes molding technology with a multi-composite combination featuring a 3K high-density carbon outer layer, a uni-directional carbon composite layer, an aramid fiber layer, and a fiberglass layer. The 3K high-density carbon outer layer provides strength and efficient energy dissipation. Pre-preg fibers bonded with epoxy resin control the ideal resin-to-fiber proportion to maximize strength, mechanical performance, and lightweight construction, while improving energy management and limiting outer shell deflection for broader energy distribution into the EPS liner.
Inner Shell: Four inner shell constructions are optimized for fit, comfort, reduced weight, and improved impact performance. The eight-piece multi-density EPS liner uses six specific densities strategically positioned throughout different zones for effective impact energy absorption and a close, comfortable fit. A smooth, specially coated low-friction EPS surface helps manage linear, oblique, and rotational forces, allowing the comfort liner to move against the EPS and the rider’s head to move independently inside the helmet. This can significantly reduce force transmitted to the head, neck, brain, and spine during an oblique impact while reducing the possibility of concussion.
A-Head Fitment System: Adjusts the helmet’s height and angle for a personalized fit, allowing riders to adapt how deeply the head sits inside the helmet and how far forward or backward it is tilted.
Aerodynamics: Developed using CFD simulations and validated in the wind tunnel and on the track for low-drag performance and aerodynamic stability. Lateral winglets enhance stability and aerodynamic efficiency, while visor turbulators improve aero-acoustic performance.
Ventilation: Features 11 ventilation points, excluding the eye port, including 7 intakes—3 in the chin guard and 4 on top—and 4 exhausts—2 lateral chin-bar ports and 2 upper rear ports. Integrated air ducts circulate airflow around the rider’s head and extract hot air through the rear. A large central top-vent slider channels air over the head and supports forehead heat extraction. Chin vents direct laminated airflow toward the shield to help prevent fogging and misting, while chin-bar vents extract humid air.
